BBW McKenzie Phase 5 with Player Onboard and Heading Hold

Adds to McKenzie engines off if player isn’t onboard and heading hold.

Will shutdown the engines if you fall off. Handy if doing missions to stop other boats engines.

Heading hold when on keeps the ship on course in up to moderate seas. This was a minimal cost to add so could be added to earlier phases if desired.

Added gear for when you need rescue: transponder (outgoing), flare, flare gun, flare gun ammo. More for roleplay as in single player you are on your own.

Doubled main batteries to now four of the “car” sized small batteries. These are now in the rear lower cabin with the fuel tanks. There is still the one battery backup by the pilot under the medical bed.

Diving gear moved from the lower cabin to back of a seat in the pilot house. This eases access when you need it such as when handling the anchor or searching for casualties.

Radio handheld and another small empty placed under the medical bed. Radios not of much use in single player but the boat ought to have one. Saves on the cost of a proper radio. The empty will help with sorting should you respawn with something extra on your belt.

Orange paint added on sides of the handhelds midship and aft so that you can better make use of them as intended to go around corners without falling off.

After a rough time with stopping a speed boat added a bow mag all, rearranged light switches, added more welders in the middle lower cabin.

Price just under $36,000

This is likely the last phase for the McKenzie as it is highly capable and the next big jump goes to the BBW Columbia ~$63,000 for the 2022 refit or the Thelon of 2023

This series began with what I feel is a necessary presentation for a qualified Stormworks designer is their own version of starter boats. A theme of the Canadian Coast Guard was selected largely as this is my homeland of Canada with one of the largest coast lines of the world plus massive river and lake networks. The boats are named for major rivers in Canada and/or the people those rivers were themselves named after. The general shape of the boat is maintained throughout with only slight changes in hull shape.

BBW Thelon
Thelon design began as improving on the Gen 3 to reduce slipping off the deck. Improvements continued to fully enclose the upper engine and cargo bay. It is now well suited to operating in arctic conditions with increased heating and durability. Armor and rifles for defence from wildlife.
