This mod is my take on additional names for meals. There are a few mods already on the workshop that do the same thing, but I wanted to make my own. I made this list based off my own preferences and criteria.

New Names

Names with * are the default names in the base game.

Easy meals (2 ingredients):*biscuit*, soup, roll, mash, toast, chips, loaf, pudding, snack, chops

Fine meals (3 ingredients):*stew*, pie, buns, muffin, steak, sandwich, nuggets, kebab, salad, wrap

Lavish meals (4 ingredients):*roast*, cake, casserole, dumplings, chowder, platter, stir-fry, pizza, feast, lasagna


FAQ

Q: Can you add X name, please?
A: No, I don't have any interest in adding additional names. I made this mod for myself and decided to upload it to share with others. However, this mod is incredibly simple and a great place to start modding Dwarf Fortress. I highly recommend anyone who doesn't like this list, or who wants to make their own, to do so.

Q: I don't like X name! It's bad, because it doesn't fit the lore/theme/time period of the game! I won't use this mod!
A: Ok.

Q: Oh great Urist McNuggets, what is the fairest meal of them all?
A: Chicken nuggets with plenty of honey for dipping sauce. Preferably shaped like tiny dinosaurs.


Save Game Compatibility

Honestly, I don't know. It could work, and I don't think it would hurt anything. But as always, best practice is to use on a new world generation.

Load Order

Shouldn't matter, put it wherever you like. I suppose if you had a mod that heavily edited meals in some way, it would be a good idea to load this mod after it.

Mod Compatibility

Should play nice with all others. If you are using other meal name mods it should just add on top of them, but be careful of repeat names.
