Dwarven Cuisine - Simple Bread

Description
Hear ye! Hear ye! Our Chef Under The Mountain has another announcement that we are excited to share with you...More Bread! We’ve heard your requests; we’ve studied the reports and we’ve come up with a solution. It seems not every Fortress has the time, space, or incentive to acquire the vast array of ingredients required to make bread. To solve this problem, we give you… Simple Bread! Just as the name implies, these new recipes will allow you to produce two different kinds of bread, Dwarven Hardtack and Dwarven Flatbread using only commonly available ingredients.

This mod adds 2 types of simple bread (and corresponding dough) each with custom graphics to the game. You'll find a new category in the kitchen called Breadcraft. Under this category you will see tasks to make dough for both kinds of bread, and also the ability to bake that dough to create Hardtack and Flatbread. This mod requires less ingredients than my main Bread mod, allowing you to make bread products faster and easier.

SPECIAL NOTE: This mod works perfectly with my other Dwarven Cuisine mods but does not require them. Mix and match or use standalone as desired.

SHOUT-OUT: This mod was requested by Digganob, check out their cool Goblin-Slayer inspired Cave Goblin mod here! - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3134653709

Recipes
~~~~~~
Make Dough
To begin, assemble the following ingredients in your Kitchen, and mix together. Both Dwarven Hardtack and Dwarven Flatbread start with a Cave Wheat Flour base but differ in their liquid component. Our Chef Under The Mountain recommends Dwarven Beer for Hardtack, and Dwarven Milk for Flatbread recipes, for the best taste.
Dwarven Hardtack Dough
- 1 bag of Cave Wheat Flour
- 1 pint of Alcohol (Beer Recommended, any Alcohol will work)
Dwarven Flatbread Dough
- 1 bag of Cave Wheat Flour
- 1 bottle of Milk (Any will work)
Baking Flatbread/Hardtack
-Simply Bake from the corresponding Dough at your kitchen. Each unit of Dough will produce 4 Flatbreads or 4 Hardtack biscuits, respectively.
KNOW ISSUES
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Barrel Bug - Barrels holding Bread and/or Dough are labelled as 'Cheese Barrel', despite holding Bread or Dough. This is caused by how the mod produces custom graphics. I currently do not have the ability to change this while still using custom graphics.

Stockpile Bug – Bread/Dough holding barrels don't always go where they are supposed to. I have done all I can to make them, but sometimes dwarves will stuff them wherever. This doesn't seem to impede function in any way, they are still able to find and retrieve items as needed, but it can be frustrating for making dedicated stockpiles. As a secondary issue, the game has problems finding items that are in a container that is stored inside another container. This is relevant to this mod, as it will be unable to find Flour that is stored in a barrel. Any Flour stockpile should be set to 0 Barrels in order to prevent this issue. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do to fix this, as it is a problem with the base game.

Bread Monster Feature - As an... Unintended consequence of the way this mod is constructed, there is a SMALL possibility that randomly generated creatures/objects whose material is randomly selected (Such as Forgotten Beasts) will actually be made out of... Hardtack/Flatbread. Or Dough, actually... I have only seen this twice in multiple world generations (With my Butter Mod specifically), but I find it amusing and have no intention of fixing it, given the rarity of it occurring. This is now considered a feature of the mod.

FAQ
~~~~
Q: I have the right kind of Flour but the button to make the dough is still red! What is going on?
A: The game has problems finding items that are in a container that is stored inside another container. Flour is actually a Powder item stored inside a Bag container, which can then be stored again inside a Barrel container. Any Flour or Sugar stockpile intended to be used for bread making should be set to 0 Barrels in order to prevent this issue. You can solve this problem in an active fortress by having your dwarves move the flour or sugar out of the barrels by setting up a new stockpile with 0 Barrels, and making it the only stockpile that will accept Flour and Sugar. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do to fix this, as it is an issue with the base game.
Q: Wait a minute… These recipes use alcohol and milk! Why don’t they use water instead? So unrealistic!
A: These are dwarven recipes and any good dwarf will tell you that alcohol is better than water. In all seriousness, the game handles water a little differently than other liquids. Your dwarfs actually retrieve the water from a source on an as-needed basis, and don’t stockpile it. Because of this you can’t use water for custom reactions, which this mod is. But I find this solution to be sufficiently dwarfy.
Q: Why not just make this part of the Dwarven Cuisine – Bread mod?
A: When I am modding my games I like options, and the ability to customize my modded experience. So, I want to give other people the same option with my mods by making them as modular as possible. Simple Bread offers an easier alternative to the main bread mod while still working perfectly alongside it, allowing the user to decide just how much bread they want. The correct answer is, clearly, all the bread.
Save Game Compatibility
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not looking good, and I highly DON'T recommend using this on existing worlds. It likely won't break anything, but it won't work either. Dwarf Fortress mods are, generally, best used on new world generations, not on existing playthroughs.

Load Order
~~~~~~~~~
After your vanilla stuff, but otherwise it shouldn't matter too much. Anything that edits Entities should be loaded BEFORE this mod.
Mod Compatibility
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Plays well with others. Was made to work with my main Bread mod, without issues. Doesn't like mods that CUT Entities, but can be used with them if loaded afterwards.

Hi Varsocona, thanks for adding some basic bread food recipes! Thought you might want to know of a minor issue.

Based on errorlog.txt output:
HARDTACK:: Unrecognized Color Token in Material Template: brown

I believe line 9 of inorganic_simple_bread.txt accidentally has the color in lowercase:
[STATE_COLOR:LIQUID:brown]

Switching it to [STATE_COLOR:LIQUID:BROWN] does eliminate that error from error from errorlog.txt.

Thanks for making this on my request, and thanks for the shout-out! I can't wait to run a party of goblins on nothing but maggoty bread for THREE STINKIN' DAYS!
