Description

If you are tired after the 1600s, do not want to min-max everything, playing a tall/colonial game or want a new challenge this is what you are looking for. Based on history, alongside/inspired by great mods, dive along on whole another level of this wonderful game! Now every battle, alliance and careful planning will be a deal breaker. Prepare to lose wars, go bankrupt and - maybe - get some gray hair as well.

⚔️ Warfare, through a special blend of these mods:

What you'll get:
  • Realistic Feudal Army, with little base manpower you need to use a special decision to raise your army
  • Nerfed Force Limit, alliances matter more than never!
  • Nerfed Combat Width to match the limited Force limit!
  • Expensive army mainteinance during war
  • Terrain and Cavalry matters
  • Battles can earn you 75% of War Score
  • No unique ideas making the game way more unpredictable, ruler traits are a deal breaker now

🏰 Administration:
  • Responsible Blobbing, with less force limit and gov. cap handicapped vassal game is back, as influence idea (and its policies) could be a game changer.
  • With base admin efficiency -60% at the start, not only you but AI will be inclined to release vassals if overextenstion are high, also it will help with lackness of manpower!
  • Revamped Byzantine Empire ressurgence using the good old Theme System as stairs to achieve greatness, thanks to Doge Shattered Europe for some themes names and flags!

⚜️ RP,you need to load the great Flavour and Events Expanded you will get new appeal for :
  • Culture
  • Dynastic
  • Great Powers' wars
  • Heir education
  • And many others unique experiences

Religion:
  • 30 years' war near the real life's date
  • More turmoil with realistic army's size, making it harder to control it while trying to manage different playstyles
  • Schalmaldick league, happening around 15-20 years after the Protestant's emergence thanks to Europa Expanded files

📜 Colonization, thanks to both Slower Colonization mods (here, here and here):
  • Portugal taking exploration as second idea and not allowed to take expansion until the fifth idea is available, to reflect its own "small" scale colonial "game"
  • Castile/Spain also only taking exploration as second idea and not allowed to take expansion as third
  • Rest of the world only allowed during 1600s

  • With less manpower your moves need to be calculated
  • Different ways to play the game without OP mission trees, wanna play the dynastic game as Austria? Try now currying favors and requesting to insert your dynasty on other's throne
  • Playing HRE is an unique experience trying to fight against the Reformation as the Schmalkaldic War could be as hard as the 30 years' war if you sleep on it!
  • Your ideas selection will be heavily thought, most likely tweaked mid game due to the new "branching" system
  • No national ideas for Europe means more RNG and, why not, RP
  • No more Burgundian Inheritance, as it happened after the initial scope of the starting date. That means Charles "The Bold" could easily have a son, as Marie wasn't alive in 1444. If it was possible to reproduce with any other nation without scripting specific tags, would rather do that than only let BI happens!

  • Interface Redrawn

  • Flavour and Events Expanded

  • Xorme AI

  • European Advisors portrait

This mod is Eurocentric by its nature. In the future, further expansions might happen, especially if one would want to help me out. As that my limit knowledge is influenced by Europe's history. Expected to be worked in the future:

    • Mission trees focusing in the short and medium term. Like Austrian consolidation as THE HRE's power house, Balkans' countries and Poland/Lithuania defending from Ottomans, Burgundy unifying its lands, etc.
    • More Late Middle Ages/Early Modern RP aspects, gameplay heavily influenced by its characters rather than the Nation.
    • Medieval Warfare's approach expanded, currently only Horizontal Recruitment implemented, Vertical and - maybe - Mercenaries soon.

Always trying to help!

I think the issue might be the DLCs' absence and it requires to run Flavour and Events expanded concommittantly

@Clark Crente well, thank you still answering here despite abandoning project - shame I have discovered it so late, I tried to play as Poland but the game is crashing after 10 years (I tried to switch countries and disable some AI advantages_ and nothing helps. Maybe some updates for other mods will help?

Will try Ceasar - just one question; are all DLCs required or your mods work on Vanilla?

@KafkeKretz yes it was an old update never done prior working on caesar universalis!

@Ckasaron thanks for the words and suggestions, sadly I'm working now on caesar universalis, so no updates in feasable future!

I like the idea of this mod, except for the removal of unique mission trees for most nations. That is something I very much dislike. I get it, many mission trees have gone off-the-rails with power creep, but far from all of them have done so. Why not address the overpowered examples instead of punishing everybody?

I also don't care for incorporation of FEE, as that renders this otherwise great idea of a mod incompatible with Europa Expanded, whose mission trees and flavor are top notch. I simply can't play vanilla EU4 map without EE anymore, the difference is that immense.

I only have one trade node in the game (english channel) at lkeast at start - is this how it suppose to be?
Clark Crente  [author] 28 Mar @ 12:01pm
That was an update, works perfectly. Just only some adjustments were not made (like nr of merchants) due to Caesar Universalis.

It was supposed to be uploaded some months ago.

I think trade is broken? There's only one node, English Channel, which is at the south pole.

Hit me on discord, I can make the file for you!

So I'm playing outside of Europe (Tibet), and was wondering whether a force limit buff to Ming, or just the Chinese Emperor in general, would be appropriate?

Maybe add a flat bonus or modifier to forcelimit for the Celestial Empire reform?
Or giving extra force limit at positive mandate?

(I just want a larger threat for my Tibetan Empire, please!)

Mod uploaded for an extra work with Caesar Universalis!

Feature the only trade node from the same name's mod!
