BLUFOR: Global Defense Initiative:

-all Squad (Specialized Roles) compositions now have a Rocket Soldier in the second team to replace the Grenadier.

-Russian GDI Grenadier Backpack redesigned to allow for usage across multiple classes with fewer entries required.

-flag entries removed from Zeus brackets, as these commands had no effect.

African Forces:

-5 RGD-5 Grenades now show up in Hum-vee cargohold. Their absence was due to an undetected typo. Further, the smoke grenades should now be yellow instead of red.

European Forces:

-Hum-vee with custom crew and cargo added.

-Composition groups Fire Team, Fire Team (Antitank), Squad, Squad (Specialized), and Command Section added.

Middle Eastern Forces:

-Officer (rifle and pistol), Squad Leader, Fire Team Leader, Rifleman (FAL G), Automatic Rifleman (PKM), Grenadier (AK-47/GP-25, AK-74/GP-25, and M-79), Rocket Soldier (RPG-7 and Strela-2), Radioman, Combat Medic, Recruit (AK-47 and unarmed), Engineer (M1911 and unarmed), and Technician (pistol and purple shirt) added.

-Composition groups Fire Team, Fire Team (Antitank), Squad, Squad (Specialized), and Command Section added.

-UAZ (DShKM) with custom crew and cargo added.

-Automatic Rifleman (M-60 and PKM) are now equipped with ammunition that fires yellow tracers and a total of 5 box magazines.

-UN Delegate is now armed with an Sa-61.

-customized CDF 6B3 vests have been designed and implemented into Middle Eastern personnel. The attributes are on-par with the customized PASGT issued to African and European GDI personnel.

Russian Forces:

-Engineer is now equipped with MagLite XL50 flashlight.


OPFOR: Republic of Iraq:
Leadership:

-Composition groups Saddam Hussein (standard and body double) Guard Details added.

Iraqi Ground Forces:

-DShK (standard a mini-tripod), SPG-9, UAZ DShK, and T-55 Tank with custom crew and cargo added.

-Composition groups Fire Team (standard and Conscript), Fire Team (Antitank, standard and Conscript), Squad (standard and Conscript), and Headquarters added.

-"Armor Crewman" has been redesignated "Vehicle Crewman" at the class, macro, and name levels.

Republican Guard:

-Elite Guard and Helicopter Crewman added. This entity is the same as the Helicopter Pilot, but without a personal radio.

-T-72 "Lion of Babylon" Tank added.

-Sniper is now equipped with Binoculars.

-list of character names expanded.

-Helicopter Pilot/Crewman and Fighter Pilot Sa-61 magazine capacity increased from 5 to 7.

-"Tank Crewman" has been redesignated "Vehicle Crewman" at the class, macro, and name levels. Helmet changed to Altyn Combat Helmet (Khaki).

-operative rifles' Sound Suppressor (5.56mm) replaced with G36 Silencer (Black).

-Automatic Rifleman now equipped with M249 PIP (RIS/18.3 in.) with G36 Silencer (Black); 1 M67 Fragmentation Grenade now starts in the backpack by default.

-all personnel now equipped with Fulton MX-991 red-lens flashlight for discreet map-reading in night conditions.


BLUFOR: Ops Group Echo: Black Ops 9:

-it has been noted that operatives are armed with sound suppressors, not full sound and flash suppressors. This is being left as-is on account of improved hardware issued to GDI Special Operations forces.

-Automatic Rifleman now equipped with M249 PIP (RIS/18.3 in.).

-all personnel are now equipped with Fulton MX-991 red-lens flashlights for discreet map-reading in night conditions.

-Negotiator G17 is now equipped with a flashlight attachment and suppressor.

-Officer redesignated "Officer 1," with a second Officer designated "Officer 2." Facewear changed to reflect adaptation over missing assets. Officers with rifles no longer carry pistols.

-Iraqi Army redesignated "Iraqi Ground Forces" to reflect its formal designation.

-Rifleman AKM replaced with AK-47.

-Automatic Rifleman Zastava M-72 replaced with PKM.

-Rocket Soldier Type 56 replaced with Sa-58P.

-personnel now carry only orange and white smoke grenades, with the exception of helicopter crewmen.

-equipment has been restructured to reflect the disposition of the Iraqi Ground Forces of 1990.

-Tank Crewman redesignated "Armor Crewman."

-all Officers, Squad Leaders, Scouts, Helicopter Pilots, and Armor Crewmen are equipped with Maglite XL50 flashlights.

Republican Guard:

-Republican Guard marker added. SSh-60 (Desert) helmet retextured to feature Republican Guard symbol with permission of CUP officers.

-all personnel now armed or undergoing arming with "Modernized" AK-class weapons where applicable.

BLUFOR: Operations Group Echo: Black Ops 9:
Operatives:

-Negotiator, Officer, Rocket Soldier (RPG-7 and MAAWS), Radioman, and Spotter added. Composition teams include fire team, squad, and sniper team.

-research has revealed that a 20-pound, double-plated, prototype carrier vest known as Variable Body Armor was released to the U.S. military in limited numbers in 1968. PASGT was released afterwards. Nevertheless, a modified variant of CUP PASGT has been developed for usage in Black Ops 9 personnel based on this information; attributes are derived from Delta Hawk Industries PASGT vests. Texture is a modified variant of CUP PASGT Winter to adhere to an all-black format. This is being done to replace the MBSS Carrier Sand Assault vests, as these are based on Ranger Body Armor according to CUP assets and designations. This type of armor was not released until 1993.

-desert uniform assets removed in favor of utilizing all-black uniforms in an effort to differentiate between Black Ops 9 troops and early GDI Special Operations personnel. All instances of desert-based weapons and backpacks removed.

-M-16A2 Carbine rifle magazines increased by 2 across all personnel equipped with the rifle system; all personnel now carry 2 M112 C-4 explosives, an M57 Firing Device, 1 morphine injector, 1 tourniquet, 2 M84 Stun Grenades, and AN/PRC-148 radios. Primary smoke grenade is now blue instead of yellow. All personnel can now place explosives.

-M-16A2 Carbine rifle now redesignated the "XM177 Carbine."

-Automatic Rifleman backpack changed from Tactical Backpack (Black) to Field Pack (Black).

-Combat Medic loadout adjusted in accordance with changes to ACE Medical.

-Demolitions Specialist now carries anti-personnel and antitank mines, a defusal kit, and a mine detectors. The Demolitions Expert can also deactivate mines.

-Marksmen now carry range cards and AN/PVS-4 Night Vision Scopes in their inventory for their respective rifles. M-14 and M-16A2 Marksman ACOG scope changed from TA31F to TA01B. M-14 Marksman weapon now features an AN/PEQ-2 Infrared Aiming Laser and a bipod. Marksman M-14 attachments are now fixed properly-a change in weapons attachment class names caused them to not show up.

-Sniper is now equipped with a Field Pack with an AN/PVS-4 NVS, M18 Claymore Mines, and M4A1 SLAM Mines issued to help protect the firing position. Maximum 5-round M-24 magazines increased to 15.

-markers and flags redesignated at the class and name level to adhere to adopted naming convention.
