Patch 39

  • Possessed inanimate objects now try to bounce or wiggle if attacked.
  • Fixed an issue where possessed Rock Lobsters were unable to use their Shield action.
  • Added a measure to try and preserve compatibility with the Legion mod, fixing an issue where Wieneke would stay visible when possessing.

Patch 38

  • Wieneke now gains wetness when possessing a pond. New visual effects have also been added when doing so.
  • When unpossessing a pond, there's small chance you take a fish with you. This chance changes depending on how many fish are left, and the day phase, with the highest chance being at night.
  • Fixed an issue where Abigail would be able to target and hurt possessed creatures.
  • Fixed an issue where the music for the mutated bosses would not play.
  • Fixed a bug where, if two players were possessing creatures as Wieneke, they would be able to attack each other even if PVP was disabled.

Patch 37

  • If the game last saved while you were over the ocean or void as a possessed creature, you will now spawn on a nearby landmass the next time you log on, rather than drowning/falling (or in my case, teleporting to the spawn portal).
  • Fixed a bug where, when being forcefully unpossessed while swimming in the ocean, Wieneke would not drown and stay invisible/unable to move or perform actions.

Patch 36

  • The daytime sanity drain protection granted when possessing creatures has been reduced (100% > 50%).
  • Wieneke now loses a small amount of sanity over time during the dusk and when in caves (-3.3 per minute). Note that this is reduced during possession, similarly to the daytime sanity drain.
  • The effectiveness of sanity-granting clothes during possession has been increased (0.5x > 0.667x).
  • Torso skins worn by Wieneke now properly layer over her skirt if they aren't supposed to be tucked in.
  • Fixed a visual issue where, under certain conditions, Wieneke's hair sprite would layer underneath hats.
  • Fixed a visual issue regarding giving fellow players rides as Wieneke.
  • Fixed an issue that occurred when playing without caves, where Wieneke's hunger meter would not pulse or show a down-arrow if hunger was being drained during possession.

Patch 35

  • The attack range of possessed creatures has been adjusted: It will now try to snap to a range of either 2 or 4, based on the original attack range of the creature (some exceptions apply).
  • Equipped items should now always try to apply their effect during possession.
  • If items are equipped during possession, their inventory icons now stay visible. They cannot be interacted with, however it should hopefully be useful when keeping track of an item's durability.
  • Wieneke's player model is now hidden more properly during possession, hopefully fixing issues such as certain equipped item skin effects showing up in strange places.
  • Much improved the vanilla creature stategraph-swapping system! Base game creatures should now always be able to use their vanilla attack patterns when possessed, even if another mod that changes them loads before Wieneke does.
  • If you want to add to a possessed vanilla creature's stategraph, you can now use the new addon functions located in "scripts/utility/wieneke_addons.lua".
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when selecting Walter while playing with the More Pets mod.

Patch 34

  • The raw damage output of a possessed Dragonfly has been reduced (68 > 59.5).
  • Attacking the Celestial Champion as a possessed creature while it's summoning Gestalts now deals damage back to you. The same applies to Moonmaw Dragonfly and her Lavae spin attack, if playing with Uncompromising Mode.
  • The maximum sanity penalty for dying as a possessed creature has been increased (50 > 60).
  • The sanity penalty for being knocked out of your host has been increased (15 > 40).
  • Wieneke no longer loses health after being knocked out of her host.
  • Wieneke now suffers a 5% damage tolerance (DT) penalty after being knocked out of her host.
  • When getting knocked out of her host, Wieneke will now be knocked back a fair distance away from her attacker when applicable, rather than falling out in place.
  • Wieneke now gains a one-second invulnerability window upon being knocked out of her host.
  • Wieneke now announces when her maximum DT penalty has fully recovered. Note she only does so if she had complained about a significant penalty beforehand.
  • Freezing creatures as Deerclops now costs less hunger (min. 0.125 > 0.1, max. 1.25 > 1).
  • The DT loss reducing effect of Wieneke's Creamy Potato Purée buff has been decreased (50% > 33%).
  • The regenerative effect of Wieneke's Soothing Tea buff has been moved to Salsa Fresca, while the penalty recovery is kept on the Soothing Tea.
  • Eating Salsa Fresca as Wieneke now grants a buff that increases DT regeneration, slightly more so than Soothing Tea did (50% > 66%) for one day.
  • The penalty recovery amount of Wieneke's Soothing Tea buff has been increased (15% > 20% over one day).
  • The duration of Wieneke's Fig-Stuffed Trunk buff has been increased (2 > 4 days), while its hunger drain reducing effect has been decreased (33% > 25%).
  • Waking up after being put to sleep during possession now immediately lets you back in control, rather than having to wait a variable amount of time after the creature had woken up.

Patch 33

  • Wieneke now gains unique effects when eating specific foods! Numbers are a little experimental as of yet. Currently, the following foods grant buffs:
  • Creamy Potato Purée, which reduces damage tolerance loss by 50% for one day.
  • Soothing Tea, which increases damage tolerance regeneration by 50% and recovers up to 15% of a max damage tolerance penalty for one day.
  • Stuffed Pepper Poppers, which increases damage dealt during possession by 12.5% for one day.
  • Fig-Stuffed Trunk, which reduces hunger drain by 33% for 2 days. Note that this food buff does not stack with Snot Roast if playing with Uncompromising Mode.
  • A possessed Prickly Stagehand now only ever deals 25 flat damage per hit.
  • The Celestial Revenant will now immediately repel Wieneke upon being possessed.
  • Fixed an issue where Wieneke would constantly announce that her damage tolerance penalty had reached its maximum each time she got hit when at max penalty.

Patch 32

  • Otters can now harvest plants and pick up items when possessed. Their inventory contents are also dropped when unpossessed.
  • Grass Gators now show Wieneke's rosy cheeks when possessed.
  • Holding the spacebar/action button while possessing now prioritizes the closest entity over the available action priority.
  • Fixed a bug where a possessed Grass Gator would try to dive to return home when in deep water.

Patch 30

  • Added unique effects to a possessed Dragonfly! You can now toggle her enrage with a unique action, granting increased speed, attack range, and a 2x damage multiplier: however, you will also suffer a severe hunger drain while in this state.
  • The Dragonfly now has a unique emote state.
  • The following possessed creatures can now be ridden by other players: Dragonfly, Nightmare Rook, and Ancient Guardian.
  • The additional hunger drain incurred by flying over void or the ocean as a flying creature has been slightly reduced.
  • Fixed an issue where flying over void or the ocean as a flying creature would incur the additional hunger drain twice.
