Patch 9

  • Lunar/shadow rifts boss corpses can no longer be possessed.
  • Possessed creatures now lose their "epic" tag when possessed. This should fix a problem where Uncompromising Mode's Bee Queen (and possibly other boss redesigns) would flee when battling against Wieneke who was possessing another boss to fight. The tag is restored upon unpossession.

  • Fixed a bug where the Beefalo Bell would unlink from its beefalo when possessed.
  • Addressed an issue where, when possessing lunar/shadow rifts boss corpses, the game would crash.

Patch 8

  • The Malbatross can now be awakened from a Malbatross Bill.
  • Attacking with a possessed Malbatross no longer spawns ocean waves.
  • Wieneke can now make use of Wendy's Perennial Altar.
  • The Quelling Candle can no longer be destroyed by creatures within its thrall.
  • Wearing any type of goggles will now apply their effect during possession.
  • Boats no longer block RMB host actions that only appear when hovering over nothing.
  • Wieneke can no longer trigger Uncompromising Mode's (UM) Snap Traps when in ghost form.
  • Creatures that are tethered to a Quelling Candle now have a reduced sound volume output, alongside reduced screen shake where applicable.
  • Wieneke no longer has the (mostly redundant) "ghost" tag: meaning she is now properly targeted by certain creatures/things (Cursed Trinkets, Icker, Anenemy).
  • UM's Wixie should no longer get claustrophobic from being near possessed creatures. Her slingshot ammo now passes through them as well.
  • Added a hotkey that allows you to begin unpossessing. Useful in cases where a creature doesn't let you unpossess the normal way due to incompatibilities (Default: B. Configure in client settings).
  • The maximum hunger cost per attack during possession has been increased (1.667 > 1.75, for 80 raw damage dealt). Dealing AOE damage now also costs more hunger (0.334x > 0.5x).

  • Fixed a crash that occurred when an entity that had no stategraph performed an attack during possession.
  • Fixed buggy behaviour that occurred when a host that wasn't parented to Wieneke during possession suddenly was.
  • Fixed an issue with UM's Trapdoor Spider where its attack range was too high.
  • Fixed an issue that occurred with UM's Trapdoor Spider where, when unpossessed, it would seemingly forget about its home.
  • Removed all code related to Wieneke's death state and it having inventory item-like properties. Unfortunately it was a little too unstable, so it would need a rewrite to return: however it likely won't, given its complexity and small return.

Patch 7

  • The Eye Of Terror now attacks properly when possessed.
  • The Eye Mask can now be awakened to summon an Eye Of Terror.
  • The Depths Worm's raw damage output has been reduced (80 > 42.5).
  • Otters will no longer try to steal from your inventory during possession.
  • The freezing effectiveness of a possessed Deerclops's ice attack has been further reduced (0.33x > 0.16x).
  • Wieneke's natural light is now a separate entity: meaning it can stack properly with light originating from the player entity itself.

  • Fixed Glommer forgetting about his flower after it's been possessed.
  • Fixed a bug where frozen creatures would unfreeze when unpossessed.
  • Fixed an issue where the casting visual effect on Klaus's reindeer would get stuck on loop if possessed at the wrong time.
  • Addressed an issue where Wieneke's natural light would disappear upon her being electrocuted.

Patch 5

  • Added a configuration option for damage tolerance. You can now select between Default, Easy and Off to adjust how much damage Wieneke can take during possession, before being knocked out.
  • Added a configuration option for Wieneke's light. Available options are Default, Reduced, and Off. Picking Reduced will remove her light and make her vulnerable to Charlie, but only when in ghost form. Off always allows Charlie to hit you, even during possession.
  • Getting hit by Charlie during possession will now knock you out of your host.
  • You can now always click on yourself to unpossess, even in complete darkness.
  • You can now also click on completely dark areas to select a location to unpossess to.
  • Moggles now grant their night vision effect when worn during possession.
  • Added emote states for the Carrat and Rockjaw.
  • You can no longer (try to) possess the Greater Depths Worm.
  • Items that give off light now also do so during possession rather than being turned off, albeit at reduced brightness. The light radius depends on how fuelled the item is: the closer to 0%, the lower the light radius. A sound effect will also begin to play in the background, the closer your light is to going out.

  • Fixed a crash that occurred when a possessed creature was picked up.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when a player was attacked by Charlie.
  • Fixed an issue where Rockjaw would go invisible upon being possessed.
  • Fixed Wieneke's hair having a stray line appear in one of the animation frames.
  • Fixed some issues that occurred when possessing a planted Carrat.
  • Fixed buggy behaviour that occurred when a Greater Depths Worm tried to eat Wieneke.
  • Fixed an issue where, if an amphibious creature was killed on land during possession, Wieneke would be able to run into the ocean after being knocked out.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when possessed items were given to entities that would immediately remove them upon acquisition (banana to the Monkey Queen, meat to drying racks, etc.)
  • Fixed a crash regarding TheSim.FindEntities calls and passing only a string for one of the parameters, rather than a table.

  • Fixed a rare crash during possession.
  • Fixed a bug where ruins Nightmare Creatures would not attack Wieneke during possession.
  • Moved the upfront hunger cost for possessing to when something is actually possessed, rather than when the action was registered.
  • Lunar Grazers and Inkblight shadows can no longer be possessed.
