Note: Patches are by and large conditional and should only run if the relevant mods are loaded. For instance, if I say something is now made from bones, that is only true if at least one source of bones is loaded.

Duplicate removal:

Weapon Balance:
  • VFE Tribals throwspikes : less damage and less accurate but quicker to throw
  • VFE Tribals chunk : small bonus stun chance
  • Primitive Workbenches boomerang/rabbit stick : more damage but slow to throw
  • Primitive Workbenches throwing rocks : low damage but fast to throw
  • Primitive Workbenches flint knife : nerfed so that it's not better than a metal knife, also cooking bonus removed bc it does not fit with other weapons (eg metal knives)
  • VWE Tribal sling : damage improved
  • VWE Tribal throwing shards : melee nerfed, reduced damage and accuracy, but throw fast
  • VWE Tribal axe : improved damage, added some armor pen

Apparel Balance:
I've nerfed a lot of the apparel because layering allows insulation to be built up easily, and because many of the modded tribal apparels were outright better than their higher tech counterparts.

Misc:

Tech tree adjustments when Vanilla Factions Expanded - Tribals loaded:
  • animal flap moved to Construction to serve as an early door
  • Standalone Hot Spring moved to Stonecutting
  • Roots of Rimworld torches moved to Fire, all other furniture to Furniture
  • Hunting Traps moved to Hunting
  • Fish Traps trap and net moved to Hunting
  • with Primitive Core/Workbenches:
    • primitive stonecutting spot has no prerequisites
    • throwing rocks moved to Hunting
    • vanilla workbenches moved to Complex Furniture if they aren't already (except art bench, which doesn't really have a lower tech equivalent)
    • totem poles moved to Culture
    • beds moved to Furniture
    • Advanced Primitive Intelligence removed as all its techs have been redistributed among other research projects
    • Primitive Stonecutting removed and merged with Primitive Production/Stonecutting
