Splinter Colony ver 2.8 patch

Description
IMPORTANT:
This patch will have issues with Stellaris ver 3.0 (or later).
Try "Splinter Colony ver 3.0 patch", the new patches.

And I won't update this patch no longer. Thank you for subscribing!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is an update patch for "Splinter Colony", an event mod made by Aequinoctis.
You don't need other my update patch ("splinter colony ver 2.3 patch")

This patch enables the original mod to run on ver 2.6 (and later. It works on ver 2.8.).
And it includes a few minor additional features.

How to start:
Any one country met below conditions will be asked whether to start the whole event or not.

Conditions:
- isn't AI empire.
- isn't gestalt consciousness empire.
- isn't lithoid empire.
- doesn't have Lost Colony origin. Note: with Life-Seeded or Void Dwellers origins, climate preference will be randomized.
- doesn't have fanatic purifiers civic.

Known compatibility issue: (on 7/5/2020)
- You need to choose vanilla or compatible planet class for the homeworld. Otherwise, egalitarian splinter colony and The Amaryllis planet will have an issue.

Note on "Planetary Diversity - Unique Worlds"
Now, unique worlds won't block the whole event. that said, splinter colonies will be changed to less-unique ones.
I made so because I'd like to avoid the splinter planets have that planet class. After all, if your species have three (your country has one and the splinter has two) Floating World planet, these planets won't be so UNIQUE.
And with "The Archive of the Iarkans" origin, climate preference will be randomized.

Note on "Dyson Swarm - colonizing space"
With "Hostage Planet" origin, climate preference will be randomized.

Note on "Augmented Authorities Beta";
Splinter Colony empires fail to get the third civic, only 1 extra civic point.
This patch fix it: "splinter colony AA compatible patch"

There might be other unknown issues, I suspect.
I am still thinking how Necroid affect about splinter colonies. And yet to try Necroid. It might have some issue.
Detailed bug reports are always welcome.

Thank you for creating this patch so quickly, looking forward to using it ;)

@Tivaaky1 Stellaris ver 3.0 renamed "random_planet" or "any_planet" to "random_galaxy_planet" or "any_galaxy_planet" so it bring issues.
I create new patch for 3.0, because "random_planet" doesn't work on Stellaris 3.0 and "random_galaxy_planet" doesn't work on Stellaris 2.8.

So try " Splinter Colony ver 3.0 patch ", the new patches. I am not sure about balance on Stellaris 3.0 yet, but at least there are not error, I think.

With 3.0 and 3.01 this mod no longer triggers, either using the Origin or a pop up as the game starts up -- neither happens and thus there is no splinter colony. Looking forward to this one being patched when you have a chance, thanks!

@Tivaaky1 It's odd, since I set patch note on English setting always. For example, the latest patch note is "Updated for PD Techno-Organic climate change (from Wet to Cold).".
About last a few update, much of they are "Planetary Diversity" related update.

@OldEnt Thank you for kindly words. I hadn't know about your Void Dwellers Expanded mod, but I am considering to use it.

How come I did not find this mod before? I used Amaryllis as a name for an ark of Technocracy of Man in my Void Dwellers Expanded mod. Looks like I need to do a lore rewrite because this mod is exactly what I was looking for.
If there are any issues with this mod I'd be happy to help fixing them, just poke me.

I haven't try playthrough, I think I fixed Void Dwellers issue. I hope there aren't any other issue around Stellaris 2.8, I do hope.

@Tivaaky1 Thank you for report. modify_species fix such homeworlder preference, at reast in Stellaris ver 2.7. I am figuring why it isn't fixed in ver 2.8...

With 2.8 when you have the Void Dwellers origin, the splinter colony is also Void Dwellers and no longer starts on a planet. Not sure how that might effect later events where lost groups usually start on planets, have not gotten that far in, just fyi. thanks!
