HMAS Resolution

This is the first of my Avem Empire custom faction builds to be practically sized. His Majesty's Assault Ship Resolution is an offensively-based build, doing attack runs on ships and using an altitude match breadboard to ram fellow airships. The weapons are set up to maximize firepower on each attack run, with a pair of 250rpm 100mm rapid-fire miniguns mounted on the bow, one ventral and one dorsal, as well as a 400mm 2m 30rpm double-ended sideways-mounted heavier APS set amidships. In addition to these guns, it also features some simple AA guns and twin casemates (for shooting down CRAMs) and a large CRAM and missile bomb bay. The design features camo and is currently updated to work in either stable or devtest on default settings.

Lore-wise, as this is a themed build for the Avem Empire faction I've created, the Resolution was named for the determination each ship's captain requires to be able to keep charging under fire and get the bombs dropped to finish an enemy. It was designed for the empire to have a reliable attack airship, able to take out most ships and deal effectively with any aerial opposition. Firepower was the prime consideration, but like all ships in the fleet it can make the standard speed of 50m/s and it has reasonable armor and a well-protected citadel.
The updated version attached now features improved armor and redundancy, with important componenets moved higher up and armored with ducts and/or HA. The biggest issue with this design is that in my experience, the middle APS turret is incredibly vulnerable to popping from explosion clipping. I have tried a dozen different things to fix it, but my efforts have mostly been in vain. I've heard that explosion clipping is largely dependent on your individual computer, so hopefully it doesn't affect you guys as much as it does me. I'm really happy with the rest of it though and I hope you like playing with it.

Also keep in mind that the colors and reflections and overall appearance of my airships will vary significantly based on your graphics settings, so feel free to mess with your settings and the paint colors until you get them to look how you like.
