QSJ's Adaptive Armory Storage

Description
Finally, a place for me to put all the guns I hoard from dead raiders.

What is this?

Adds some industrial-flavoured weapons storage, based on Adaptive Storage Framework.

In my current playthrough I committed entirely to replacing LWM's Deep Storage with mods that use ASF. One mod I lost and started to miss dearly was Weapon Racks for displaying all of the cool guns in my armory. Eventually I figured "what the hell", and decided to try my hand at some sort of alternative.

This is the end result, which... well... at least I think it looks ok.

Update: 11-07-25
Quick and dirty update to 1.6. Not tested with CE yet, but since it's a patch it should work fine.

Small note: The recent ASF updates included a new way of rendering items on the display racks that pretty much make the old angled versions redundant. They no longer exist for 1.6, but for compatibility with ongoing 1.5 saves they still exist in that version of the mod. They have been given the same rendering style as the regular racks.

Also planning a bit of a refresh for this mod to add one or two containers and update some art. Coming soon hopefully.

Other Stuff

Big thanks to:
  • Aelanna, creator of the original (and much better mechanically) Weapon Racks, and a bunch of other awesome mods, and like, 5 years worth of other cool stuff.
    • Seriously if you're already using Deep Storage just use Aelanna's weapon racks. With that one you get a whole mod options page to customize weapon positioning instead of just an alt rack.
  • The folks that did ASF for the framework (obviously). Also they kinda just give you a file with all the graphics stuff now have a whole documentation suite for the framework. I love well-documented software. Thank you Bradson.

Other mods in the screencap:

As per usual, I am a moron who may have done something wrong. If you have any criticisms, complaints, problems, or suggestions to do with this mod, please leave them here. I might redo the art for the 2x1 containers if/when I get a better grip on furniture art and scaling, but this is pretty much everything I think the pack needs (unless I come up with (or are suggested) something really cool).

Translations, retexures, things like that are cool, just make sure to give due credit (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

Rimworld (and its resource icons, used in my content graphics) is (are) owned by Tynan Sylvester.

Can this mod's "secure crate" protect ammo not to induced detonation from CE's explosion?

Cheers QSJ!

@Arnovitz I found the issue. The color was being applied twice, so instead of the default color on the secure crates being drab green it was a very dark drab green. Had to fix the definition to comply with an ASF update. Should be better now.

Like @DaniAngione said, the secure crate graphics are very dark. The color or mask is not being applied correctly. Here is what it looks like: https://i.imgur.com/qGQb4Ig.png

Load order shouldn't matter past the dependencies

Where should this be in the load order? I load this further down the list but every time I run the game this gets auto sorted to the very top, just after ASF. Is this intended?

The secure crates are looking very dark for me (for some reason) not sure why
The rest seems to be working fine!

No need to apologise man <3 this mod is too good and you are so kind to make it. Thank you for the fix!

@Phobeseneos Looks like I forgot to change the cost for the angled ones way back when. Apologies. Should be fixed now.
