What is this?
Dismemberment Overhaul is a mod project where I will try to add blood and gore to many units that didn't have it in the vanilla game! Such as Horses, Ogre, Dragon, Construct, Demigryphs and even Giants!



For more description on specific factions please click on their picture!







  • Purely cosmetic and have no effect on the gameplay whatsoever.
  • This mod uses custom limb stump assets and added via unit's VMD file which means it's a reskin of some sort so it's not compatible with reskins mod on affected units unless there is a patch made for it.
  • Also have battle_entities files which needed to enable dismemberment for units.
  • Can be use and uninstall at any time during an ongoing Campaign + Save.
  • You're FREE to use this mod and every files in it to make a patch for your mod.
  • You're FREE every files+assets in this mod for your mod.. whatever it maybe is.
  • If you made your own patch please notify me so I can add it to the patch collection.

Hi, I'm playing a choft campaign and notice some of the ogre models on the siege engine (deathquake mortar) becoming jiggly bits. I'm not using any ogre or choft reskin.

How do the logic work in this? Can a simple spearman or swordman chop of a giants head or is it based on mass? cheers seems promising

pretty sure radious causes this issue but on the chance it does not. I see see through dismemberment of things like Bastiladons ands larger monsters. What causes this issue? it looks wrong with half a see through bastiladon

Nice. but ehhhh I think I still need to do all of em if that the caseม It somehow wasn't issues on my game but if it happens to you then it might have happens to everyone else but don't know where to look/what caused it. Also thanks for keep testing it and report to me!

Looks like replacing the model worked perfectly thanks a lot!

However I did look at other factions just to see if they had similar problems (all mods turned off except this one) and they all do. It looks like the generic mounts all have gibbed models (horses, manticore, pegasus, eagle, griffon etc) Dragons all look good though.

If its just me don't even worry about it, I only mentioned this in the first place because I thought it was just Cold ones and would be an easy fix.

Alright try this version. This time I completely replacing the horned one and cold one with 100% identical looking clone with no gib part(seriously)

huh that weird, Cause it working fine on my end and this actually is the bug I fixed while agos and still got reported time to time, Maybe a mod conflict? lemme try completely replacing it and see how it goes.
