Description
Trade Range Scales With Map Size

Requires Gaia's Core Mod and BNW. Compatible with Sapiens.

Land and Sea Trade Range modified by approximately -50%/-30%/-19%/+24%/+55% on Duel/Tiny/Small/Large/Huge Maps, based on their vertical heights relative to Standard. Slightly higher to compensate for rounding errors, and in the case of Duel, be less annoying to play. Disable this mod if you want to play Duel/Tiny/Small maps without the range reductions.

This is based on my previous mod Trade Range Increase for Bigger Maps, which could not reduce the length of trade routes due to limitations of its non-DLL implementation. Percentage for Huge is 55% here vs 54% before due to different roundings.

The changes to all combinations of trade route maximum range can be found in this spreadsheet[docs.google.com].

Special thanks to Gaia for accomodating the DLL to this mod's needs.

A little sign of appreciation

do you have a mod like this but for air units?

It is highly unlikely that this mod causes graphics-related crashes halfway into a game. It just makes SQL statements for the database. The worst thing that may happen is a crash at the START of a game.

Regardless we'll look into it. In the meantime try these things:

1. Does the game crash when loading autosaves of previous turns?
2. Switch the DX version in the launcher to the one you don't usually use, then load the crashing save. Does it still crash? (Personally I use DX9 because DX10/11 causes some graphical glitches)
3. Follow the steps in the Core Mod workshop page for troubleshooting (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2309504487) , then load the crashing save. Does it still crash?

Or, was your game a game that didn't start with this mod, then you decided to install this mod on turn 110? Maybe that would cause problems...

unfortunately this is not working for me using the latest versions of Sapiens + Gaia mod on 8th Sept 2024. enabling this and trying to load an existing save I had (turn 110), it immediately crashes the game with an error box saying something like "DirectX" error. I'm also using EUI with the Sapiens compatibility patch.

This mod only works correctly as intended with Gaia's Core Mod. Does not work as intended with similar mods such as Various Mod Components (VMC) or Community Patch (a.k.a. Vox Populi).
