FRHV07 OT-HoverDefender (Open Top)

Mod/Scenario - None (Vanilla)


The seventh in my "First Run Hover Vehicles" series, the Open Top HoverDefender is a six seat, Armed Light Personnel Transport "sold" to military ground units.
This HoverDefender is propelled by 4 Hover Engines and 2 medium thrusters in all directions, & 2 RCSs to improve handling, plus it has an additional hover engine and RCS set to the "Max Lift" custom shortcut for use when carrying cargo. It also comes with: a detector; a 2750 SU Cargo Container; two large and six small cargo boxes; 3 mini-fridges; a Wi-Fi; and 2 armour lockers. The power generation is provided by a small generator, and it has five (normal) fuel tanks. The HoverDefender is armed with a single Gatling Gun and one Gatling Turret for some Anti-Zirax and Anti-Drone dakka-dakkas.
- NOTE - any Mini Fridges on board come turned off by default.
- NOTE - 2 LCD Projectors have been added to the vehicle's cab since the screenshots were taken, and so the CPU will have increased by 2 and the materials cost will have increased slightly too. There is also now a "Weapons" custom signal that isn't shown in the screenshots.





Body = Steel.
Deck Plating/Floor = Container Extensions & Devices.
Armour = Truss (on front).
Turning the 'Power Save' custom signal on turns the following devices off:
Wi-Fi; Holoprojection "Device & Signal Toggles" Info Screens.
The colour palette for the Open Top HoverDefender includes 3 options - the khaki that the vehicle comes in, plus a dull green and a desert pink, as shown in the pictures.

Based on the British Army Land Rover Defender 90, I really only made this for a bit of fun (weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ¬.¬), but I thought I'd share it in case anyone else wants to get sabotaging Nazi airfields in the African Desert.
