very important change here. i believe i have found a way to emulate the HW1 sensor array completely.

ships smaller than frigates should no longer show up when hw1 sensor arrays are built, unless they or someone else pings

-wasn't happy with the TOicon size of the Grav well and hw1 non combat ships, so i doubled the scale. should be more noticeable and look less like a probe.

-changed Missile destroyers missiles again. they were to torpedo like still, so i really ramped up the tracking and maneuvering on the missiles they fire.

-Heavily reduced the RAW damage of missile destroyer's missiles. (in original hw1 its 125 DMG per missile, that's what i have it set to now, in vanilla HWR its 1300 dmg a missile.. they aren't torpedo destroyers GB.. why did you do that?)
-changed penetration values for the missiles (how they affect different ships) as well.

-changed missile destroyer description to more accurately represent what it does.(anti-strike craft capital). its labed as a (long range bombardment) torpedo destroyer basically in V-HWR. i can almost feel the HW1 fans rejoicing =)

-noticed and removed some more unneeded .hod files, to make the mod smaller. removed about 8 mb of unneeded files.

-i was asked to see about fixing the guard "follow" distances with the def field frigates, and the idle follow distance of repair ships.
so i did that in this patch. they "should" now stick closer to their assigned targets.

-i also tweaked the AI build priority for Missile Destroyers, hw1 destroyers, and hw1 assault frigates, to more accurately tell the computer when to use these ships. (you should now see the ai build more MDs and assault frigs if you are fielding strike craft, and less if you are not. more standard destroyers if you have frigs and larger ships out)

-HW2 BC main weapons penetration vs defense frigates lowered from 100% pen to 70%., (they are still 20% more effective than hw1 HCs)

-hiigaran destroyer rate of fire doubled, damage cut in half, and accuracy vs fighters/corvs reduced.. this change doesn't actually do anything, but was requested by 2 people, so i figured it would be ok and added it sense it literally doesn't change balance at all.
it just ramps up the eye candy.

- i noticed and fixed YET ANOTHER ISSUE with the Repair beams, the repair beams shooting 180 degrease out of the side of the support frigates should now be solved.. you're welcome FAILbox..
seriously though.. you guys suck at your jobs... ied be willing to cut you some slack and be nicer if you were such conceited dicks on the forums, ON-TOP Of literally everything you release being a broken, honorably put together half assed pool of bile..


EVERY TIME i start this game and launch a patch, i remember something i forgot to add that i wanted to.... never fails...

-hyperspace exit damage set to 10%. Default was 25% and i forgot to fine tune it a few patches ago when i got the damage reduction working.
(was to low at only 6.25%)

-also changed the Kush/Taiidan MS ship holds from 50 to 75 units.

-additional changes to the new repair beam.. god this thing is sooo broken.. getting there though, not sure how to fix the silly 10 second order feedback delay.


-25% damage reduction of the Vaygrs/Hig BC's main weapons, 10% from Tai/Kus HCs main guns.
(what is the point of other ships in hw2 seriously?? its just who can be the fastest and biggest BC WHORE.
i always hated this about HW2, and thankfully im not the only one which means i can change this, cuz enough in the community want it. (HW1 Cruisers are STILL ALOT weaker btw..)

-also made vgr battlecruisers tradeable. i thought i did this before when i fixed the rest of the stuff. surprised no one caught this.

-Hiigaran BC rotation speed, and rotation acceleration times tweaked to make it feel more sluggish.
a number of players were complaining about the new attack style of the HIG bc and how it points at its targets. i actually like this and agree with GB on it.
i don't want to change this, so to strike a common ground and meet in the middle, i made it more sluggish with its turning.

changed the research ship TOIcon from a frigate diamond to an Invertedpentagon. (the same as the Grav well and other stuff.)

also reduced the research ship build time by 10 sec for each ship. and changed the cost back to 700 (the original hw1 price)


tuned the repair beam abit more.

framework complete, mod now update and comparable with the new version of HWR.

-Gravitywells exploding on the end of their cycles.

-Kush/Taii Repair corvettes and frigates updated.


-Repair beam tweaked from normal version of the game to work closer to how they did in hw1.
(it was messy) i edited alot of ROF & beam life time stats, chopped out the burst code, ill never know why burst code was in a beam weapon...
and i changed the HP healed stats to be closer to what it was before the update, as well as changed the healing "attack ai".
circle strafe was silly..


Im aware of a bug with the repair corvettes, where its making the sounds of the normal gun firing, while repairing.
not sure how to fix that. talk to relic.
