It's all about building circuitry.
Whenever I publish circuits I post a connection list along with them. I use certain abbreviations and symbols, which are like follows:
- = to (i.e. 1-3)
-> = connects to...
~ = affects (i.e. a laser affects a laser catcher on the opposite side)
a = start activated
AP = Angled Plate
B = Button (the big round one)
BB = Ball Button
BD = Ball Dropper
CB = Cube Button
CD = Cube Dropper
EG = Emancipation grill (obsolete, the new symbol is FI)
F = Funnel
FC = Franken-Cube
FI = Fizzler
L = Laser
LC = Laser Catcher
LR = Laser Relay
n = negate (obsolete, the new symbol is a)
PB = Pedestal button
PC = Pellet Catcher (Pelle = energy ball)
PE = Pellet emitter
PP, E = Elevator (the official name is "Piston Patform")
R = Relay (obsolete, new symbol is LR)
r = start reverse
TP, MP = Moving platform (official name is Tracking Platform)
