ISL - Small Grid Miners

Description
A series of small grid mining ships, all equipped with repair projectors, the PAM Autominer script, and able to fit inside their drill profiles. The more recent ones also feature the Fancy Status Displays script for cargo and power readouts.

This collection should cover all potential mining situations:
  • The miners are split into two types; Tunnel miners, which have forward facing drills, and Quarry miners, which have downward facing drills.
  • The Syngna series are the smallest and cheapest, the MK 1 Ships are larger but still have limited cargo space.
  • The MK2, MK3 & MK4 ships each have a stone ejection system and increase in size and cargo space.
  • MK2 Quarry miners have 6 drills, whereas the MK1's have 4 drills.
  • MK1 and MK2 Tunnel miners all have 2 drills, while the MK3's have 4 drills and the MK4's have 6 drills
  • Each ship is available in all three thrust types, except for the Kaari series, which uses a combination of atmospheric and either hydrogen or ion thrust, allowing them to operate in any environment.
  • All ships fit inside their drill profile, so no damaged blocks from scraping on the side of tunnels.
  • All ships feature a repair projector.

    As with all ISL ships, the Number included in each miner's name is an estimate of maximum cargo capacity in kgs divided by 100 (using x1 inventory multiplier). For example, the Anguilla MK4 with its 6 drills, 2 Large containers, cockpit and 4 connectors fits about 154,338 kgs of ore, so it has the 1540 designation.

    Recommended work speed for all miners is 1m/s.

    Finally, all ships have a rear mounted merge block and can be easily "printed" using a factory set up such as this one, with a projector, some welders and one large grid piston. Some of the miners have rear connectors and are too narrow to include a merge block (like the Myxini & Kaari MK1's & MK2's), so the workshop blueprint includes a merge block and a few light armor blocks to allow it to fit the printer, but should be removed before mining.

    The different names of each ship series are as follows:
    • Agna - Older designs that are slightly narrower and do not use any DLC blocks for vital functions
    • Myxini - newer designs, wider and generally with more cargo space and connectors, all using the industrial cockpit
    • Anguilla - largest miners that use a fighter cockpit and only use one DLC block; the transparent LCD, which is easily replaceable
    • Kaari - The latest designed, from mk1 to mk4, with hybrid thrust, allowing them to operate in any environment
