Description
A collection of mods using Steel Faith Overhaul as the backbone that I feel most completes the game, mechanically, aesthetically, lore and gameplay wise. This is setup how I personally feel the game plays/looks the best so it may not be everyone's taste, however I wouldn't post this if I didn't think others wouldn't enjoy it. Some things may seem a touch out of balance in different places, but overall it creates a more exciting playthrough, give it a try and let me know what you think.

If you are interested in almost strictly SFO game, please look no further than Krimson's collection . He has done an excellent job piecing together a bug-free and solid collection that stays very true to the intent of Venris' team and vision for SFO. If you want something that uses a metric ton of mods and has more expanded scope with some wild additions but are willing to put up with some bugs well you have come to the right place.

When you first setup this collection please uninstall ALL current mods and check through your game data folder that there are no existing mods, simply unsubscribing mods will not completely remove them.

After that hit the 'Subscribe All' button

There are two mods not on the list that you need to install manually to get their benefits.

To get Total War Warhammer II : Cinematic Battle Effects to work you must install the additional .pack file in your game directory. Go to the mods page and scroll to the Download section where you can choose which file to add, and add the 3.3 No Trails Option, this is a direct link to the file[drive.google.com]. However you may want the light version depending on what your computer can handle.

Now go to Improved Arrow Trails and scroll to the Download section and click his link, or this is a direct link to the file[drive.google.com].

Now start the CA game launcher and update all the mods by hitting 'Activate All', than 'Deactivate All'. Start the game with no mods through this launcher, set unit detail to ultra, disable camera shake, and quit the game.

Now you need to download Kaedrin's Mod manager[github.com]
unzip it, and run it as an administrator. Do not place the mod manager in any folder related to steam or the game files. From now on, run the game from this program unless your mod list changes. Once the mod manager loads, make sure you sort the mods by name and enable them all.

  • 4/2/20 - ADDED: Loreful Diplomacy [Minos]. This is an older updated version that has roughly the same functionality and does not break saves as well. Make sure to click (enable saves)

  • 3/28/20 - REMOVED Wax:Knights of the Empire/Knights of the Empire Textures 1&2. This is an interesting mod and I like the idea, but right now it basically floods you with new units that are generally redundant in SFO. Not to mention it makes some other buildings more difficult to use since the ton of new units removes the building card. Maybe later if the SFO version gets patched a bit more.

  • 3/19/20 - ADDED Attila' Karl Franz Black Armor. This is just a neat graphical mod that I used to always run but ended up removing due to the restrictive mod limit. Now that the mod limit is "removed" I will add many of the smaller mods that I liked. This will not effect any saves or break ongoing games. Pick the graphical mods at your leisure.

  • 3/19/20 - ADDED Begone Colonel! This fixes/prevents a bug that I personally was not able to reproduce but can softlock settlements in the game with an old TWW1 bug that was never fixed. (Thanks for the help halias15)

  • 3/15/20 - REMOVED Less Effect & VFX. Apparently it actually affects spell tables and can negatively influence the game. Thanks for the heads up Krimson.

----------------------XX- KNOWN BUGS -XX----------------------

  • Two known duplicate buildings - Blacksmith and Chapel Of Ulric. Right now this is not a gamebreaker and as far as can be seen you receive the global benefits of the building but smaller details might be different, ie; building cost, certain bonuses. Please report back on your experiences.

  • Occasional Crash involved with spending skillpoints on Lords/Heroes. This has been very hard to track down the exact cause of, and it may not be due to any specific mod, could be just the general load placed on the computer. Best workaround is to simply save before you spend skillpoints. None of the crashes have been blockers or save breaking and typically seem to stop happening after the early game.
