All of my workshop collections require ALL DLC to function correctly. If you don't have the DLC please use RimPy to uncover and remove DLC-specific, or requiring, mods!

1: Introduction

Created for my Youtube series found here:

A high performance, TPS/FPS friendly, Sanguophage Empire building experience! Build your own Sanguophage Empire with vanilla-friendly themed mods, biomes, and xenotypes, focusing on VE Sanguophage and Empire respectively! Pick ONE of EITHER the RimPy load order, or the Rimworld integrated mod manager load order!

3: Installation Guide

For any new complex mod pack you should FULLY reset Rimworld, and all related files, to ensure no old, outdated, or incompatible mods are left behind.
Reinstalling Rimworld or unsubscribing from mods WILL NOT fully reset your installation and old files can still persist!


The folders that should be fully reset before beginning a new modpack:

Delete all files in the following folders:
Local Mods: Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods (Manually installed mods folder)
Steam Mods: Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100 (Steam mod download folder)
User data: AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios (Your user configurations, saves, etc)

Then open Rimworld, reapply your user settings (screen resolution, volume etc), ensure that no mods are still present in your save.

RimPy:

1. Follow the above steps to clean your installation
2. Subscribe to all with the button above
3. Open RimPy
4. Click on "Import List" and choose the load order file
4. Press "Sort"
4.1. Ignore any errors that might pop-up, press skip if an error box occurs here
5. Press "Save"
6. Press "Run"
7. Be PATIENT. If it crashes, lags, hangs, etc, then it is still loading. It will take a long time to load with 300+ mods. I personally have to wait 5 - 10 minutes for the game to load, slower systems will take even longer!

After this go to the "Configs" step below!

Base Game/Non-RimPy Users:

PLEASE consider swapping to RimPy, it is a much more useful tool capable of auto-sorting your mods, cleaning up unneeded files, and optimising textures to save on memory usage!

1. Subscribe to the collection, and allow the download time to complete, might take a while to copy over!

2. Download the load order file from the above "Load Order (Base Game)" google drive link.

3. Go to the modlists folder, this will be something like "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios\ModLists" folder.

You can do this by typing EXACTLY(without quotes) "%appdata%/../LocalLow" into Windows Explorer (the bar at the top of windows folders, etc), then click Ludeon Studios -> Rimworld by Ludeon Studios -> Modlists

Or copy this into your windows folder bar: %appdata%/../LocalLow/Ludeon Studios/RimWorld by Ludeon Studios/ModLists

4. Paste the .RML file from Google Drive into this folder (LocalLow/Ludeon Studios/Rimworld by Ludeon Studios/ModLists)

5. Restart Rimworld ONCE the file has been copied

After this go to the "Configs" step below!

Configs:

The configs are mod settings which have been adjusted so that your experience matches mine and is working as intended. If you skip this step many things will not work, and a lot of the features will be broken.

1. Once you have run the game once, open the configs zip you download from above and copy all of the files within to the following folder:

"AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios\Config"

You can get to this folder by typing EXACTLY(without quotes) "%appdata%/../LocalLow" into the Windows Explorer (the bar at the top of windows folders, etc), then click Ludeon Studios -> Rimworld by Ludeon Studios -> Config

4: FAQ

Q: I have this inconsequential error, but I am obsessed with having a clean log despite it having no impact on my life, can you help?
A: Yes, my real life human body IS CE compatible.

Q: RimPy Mod Database is disable, how can I fix it?
A: Don't touch it. Don't enable it. It's a good friend of yours. You go back years. Just let it hang out off to the side and cheer you on.

Q: I have a "Mod mismatch" window trying to load the save game!
A: You can safely ignore it, occasionally I'll remove mods from the pack if they cause issues later down the line, update, or have some other unexpected conflict. I won't ever remove or alter anything save-game breaking.

Q: Is this a virus? (I get this a lot)
A: I 100% get the caution, but Youtube is my job, I have 180k+ subscribers, and if I tried to do anything even remotely malicious I would lose my ability to pay rent overnight. Obviously I wouldn't maliciously spread a virus amongst a Rimworld mod pack. You are more than welcome to ask amongst comment sections, my discord, or even here on steam if you're unsure. If you want to be extremely certain, I would highly recommend using the files with something such as https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload which will check the files amongst many masterlists provided by security companies.

Q: Why didn't you include X mod?
A: I only had a 48 hour window to create and test the modpack, and produce the accompanying video. But I'm always up for new suggestions.
